My Reading Space is a reading log for a parent. Questions about this policy go to takeflytewithus@gmail.com.
Google sign-in
You sign in with Google. Google gives the app your name, email address, and profile picture. The email identifies your log and is the reply address on messages sent to a teacher. The app does not ask for access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or any other Google data.
What you enter
The log stores what you type:
- A child’s name and an optional grade
- That child’s teacher name and email
- Minutes read, the date, and an optional book title
- Your timezone and the day and hour for teacher emails and an optional reminder
How it is used
The app shows the log to you. On the schedule you choose, it emails each child’s teacher last week’s reading time. If you turn on a reminder, it emails you too. Those messages are sent with Resend from report@myreading.space. Replies go to your Google email.
Who else handles it
The site runs on Vercel. The database is Neon Postgres. Teacher and reminder email goes through Resend. The information is not sold.
How long it stays
A student’s log stays until you delete that student. To delete the whole account, email takeflytewithus@gmail.com from the Google address you use to sign in. The account, students, and reading entries are then deleted.
Children
A parent signs in. Children do not get accounts. Enter a child only if you are their parent or you have the parent’s permission.
